Production Designer / CG Artist

The Production Designer produces conceptual character, environment, and prop artwork in a varying range of styles and helps establish the visual style of a production. As CG artist, s/he generates superior quality texture maps and matte paintings, also in a range of styles, to be utilized in the production process.

Technical Director – Modeling

Technical Director – Look Development

The Look Development Technical Director is responsible for creating the look of characters, props and environments that both adhere to set artistic styles as well as meet performance requirements as determined by the needs of the production.  This will be accomplished through the utilization of advanced 3D texturing, lighting, and surfacing techniques.

Animator

The CG Animator’s primary responsibility is to create high quality motion of computer graphics characters and objects within a shot, using a variety of animation software programs, and working under the general supervision of the Animation Director. The animator will be expected to deliver key frame animation to be used in a live action feature film or commercial.

Technical Director – Lighting

The Lighting Technical Director is primarily responsible for creating lit environments and elements for both live action integration and fully CG imagery.  Lighting TDs also work in the following general areas:  lighting model development including HDR image based lighting, material property development, texture coordinate application,  hair and fur application, texture map painting, and compositing.
The TD is responsible for creation and support of digital assets and rendered elements, responding to guidance and review notes from the director as well as creative and technical supervisors. Compositor

The Compositor takes multiple diverse elements, however they were created, and integrates them together artistically into a seamless, photorealistic image. Skillfully making it appear as if the elements were all part of the same scene utilizing various compositing techniques to accomplish the task.

Technical Director Generalist

The Technical Director Generalist is responsible for a range of tasks and responsibilities on shots and sequences where smaller, flexible teams are the preferred option. Generalists are responsible for modeling, rigging, look development, lighting, texture painting, animation, effects work or anything else the studio needs done at any given time.

Producer

Hinge Digital Producers are dynamic, collaborative and proactive project leaders. The producer guides and oversees the daily operations of project teams to ensure thoughtful and efficient flow of work through the studio.
